Location: Akagera Game Lodge lies in the North East of Rwanda within the 90,000 ha of the Akagera National Park in the Eastern Province. Akagera Game Lodge sits majestically on a ridge overlooking Lake Ihema amidst a mosaic of grass, bush and varied terrain of hills, deep valleys, lakes and marshes. Recognized as a superior venue, Akagera Game Lodge offers a superbly relaxed atmosphere, ideal for a successful conference, a tranquil gateway of an undisturbed encounter with nature. Akagera is a very special place on earth, with its sheer diversity. No other region can match the resources of the Akagera National Park.

Accommodation: The lodge offers premier accommodation in 58 Twin rooms, 2 Executive suites, and two luxury cottages, each with its own patio overlooking Lake Ihema, allowing one to witness a magnificent sunrise or sunset in true African style.

The Restaurant: With its charming atmosphere, the Shoebill Restaurant serves an exquisite cuisine in the form of A la carte menu, Buffet meals for breakfast, lunch ad dinner. The variety of spices and ingredients from distant shores has been a source of inspiration to our Executive Chef. An expert in the art of starter, like Akagera salad prepares local products in masterly fashion and has created an array of tempting delicacies in our restaurant.

The Elephant Bar: Adjacent to the Shoebill Restaurant, provides guests with a retreat form the heat by day. A comfortable heaven for quite moments by night with magnificent views of the African starlit sky. The terrace, overlooking the swimming pool and lake, offers a light A la carte menu between meals or along cool drink while the midday sun beats down on the African Savannah terrain.

Hotel Facilities and Services:
Swimming Pool: The swimming pool gives each guest the chance to cool down in a comfortable environment. This allows you a look and feel of tropical climates in the middle of the park.
Tennis Court: Test your swing against the gentle bay breezes at their tennis court.
Conference Hall: There is a state of the art Conference Hall that can seat up to 100 delegates. The Lodge also offers specialized services in the form of Cocktail functions, seminars, conventions and private dinners with a selection of menus to suite your palate. The professional and friendly staff will assist in planning your function from start to finish.
Business Facilities: They provide photocopying services, Internet services, Facsimile services, printing services and you can buy different items from their Gift shop.
Game Drive: You can hire their truck which seats up to 22 people to enjoy the Safari in the Savannah Park.
