Dear Reader October - November 2007

Dear Reader,

Sheepishly, I have to once again apologise for inserting the wrong picture of the Nandi flame that we featured in our last issue. If at first you don’t succeed try and try again, regardless of what it does to ones self esteem! Nevertheless I can quite confidently say that the Nandi Flame is pictured on the right.

Our main article is the annual IGFA game fishing competition in Murchison, now a qualifier for the IGFA finals. This year the event raised money towards a rescue station at Paara and had entrants from around the world.

We also have another tall story on Neem trees, a cultural review on the Kampala Ballet School and Kalinzu Central Forest reserve as our eco report. Our lodge review is on The Rain Forest Lodge in Mabira Forest, a restaurant review on Crocodiles Restaurant and a pub review on Steak Out.

Thank you to everyone concerned in making this issue as fantastic as it is – I had such a warm fuzzy feeling inside when I saw this issue being sent to the printers. As they say in the classics (or should is say in the A-Team), “I love it when a plan comes together”.

As always, I would like to thank all our readers and advertisers for the constant feedback on ways to improve The Eye Magazine, it is greatly appreciated. Please remember to send us an email on theeye@theeye.co.ug with any further updates to listings – we are only as good as the information we receive.

Be Safe and Best of Luck to you All
