Health Review : Computerised Dentistry

During that time, we developed programs aimed at helping them and their families while they learned a trade. Here are the 2005-2010 achievements:

Food bank
Right at the beginning in June 2005, we created a food bank to help the sick ones and most vulnerable. Today, 116 families benefit from a food supplement each month. In addition, the harvest from the garden we cultivate allows the distribution of wholesome vegetables to many of those families.

School sponsorship
We have had the help of Canadians to sponsor the education of the children. Last year, we sponsored 142 children in primary school and 127 in secondary.

Daycare
Started in February 2007, a daycare receives daily 31 little ones and provides a nutritious meal every day on top of giving training to the eldest, preparing them for primary school. The widows of the sewing group have also made small uniforms for them.

Medical clinic
Since august 2007, we offer the consultation services of a doctor one day a week and the services of a massage therapist 3 days a week. We also provide some free over the counter medication.

Car mechanic courses
Started in February 2009 we have trained 10 young men and one young woman in car mechanic repairs. Five of them received a certificate stating their abilities in repairing any vehicles operated by gas or diesel.

Thanks to the financial contributions of generous Canadians, we are now at a state where, starting from scratch, we have put in place all that is needed to attain our goal. Already many of them earn a modest living through their work in the sewing group and the craft group. Centre César is now a registered, non for profit organization, administered by 8 widows and operating under the Rwandan laws.

In almost 5 years now, they have succeeded in believing in their capabilities and regained hope as well as their lost dignity. People are most welcome to visit the Center and meet the widows who have taken charge of their own destiny.
